This is a collection of demos from a concept album, 'Be Still Thy Roots Beneath the Soil', that will probably never be made. The songs were written back in 2005-2006. Patrick McHale, best known for 'Over The Garden Wall', Did everything except for additional instrumentals in 'Death Come Slow', which were done by Isaac Gillespie. There's more info on the bandcamp page, I recommend you check it out and lend a dollar or two.

Hey Whale Boy, could you recommend some bands similar to this music style.

That's a tough one since Patrick McHale has such a unique style. The best bands I can recommend are ones that have had some relation with Patrick. The Blasting Company made the OTGW ost and they've released their own album as well as creating a whole band around the dreampop song that appears in one of the OTGW episodes called Tiny Star. Patrick also had a soundtrack made for a book he wrote called bags which is sort of atmospheric. Maybe I'll get around to uploading some of this stuff here. Best thing to look out for is the album that Patrick is currently working on right now. Very pumped!
