This is a very beautiful song i first heard in 1990. It's not very well known for some strange reason but i hope you enjoy it.

Patrick Norman wrote this song first in french, when he was down on his luck. The french version, «Quand on est en amour» was a huge success...

broonsdad In fact Patrick Norman did not wrote the song... a friend of him (a police officer) Robert Laurin wrote it for him , in 1976 or 1978 and it has been a big hit in Québec, Everyone knows this song in Québec..

+broonsdad I first heard the French version by Patrick "Quand on est en amour" on radio in Montreal, Quebec in late 1986. I think it got to the top of the charts. I even called up the station and got them to play it for me.I was going through a very painful breakup at the time and this song really touched me to my core. I found this and the French version on KZbin today, 29 years later and it brought back a flood of memories. I returned to live in England but never forgot the song. It's simply beautiful. Thank you Patrick for the song and Lepoidvin for posting it on KZbin. I feel like I've found a long lost friend today. Thank you.

they used to play this on CKNW 980 AM radio in Vancouver,b.c. on Hal Davis music for Sunday show, haven't heard it on radio for many years,thank god for KZbin! good quality well written song.
