He was lead singer. He originally auditioned to be drummer, sang to show the band the lyrics he'd been writing at home, and got told he HAD to be singer because he had a completely amazing voice :P

i love when people tell him that they like soul punk or compliment it and he smiles so genuinely because thats all that matters to him and you can see it means a lot for him to appreciate what hes doing on his own regardless to what hes done previously with fall out boy. even with this interview, theyre talking about fall out boy and its relation to patricks solo career but its cool that the interviewer lets him get all his thoughts out and explain everything in relation to the fob/soul punk comparison properly

I loved all of the FOB records, and I love Patrick's album, too. But I love them it totally different ways. I love FOB's punky sound in the albums, but I also adore the Jazzy sound on Soul Punk.

The first time i listened to his solo, i also had other expectations, i liked only 2 songs. But then something changed. And i saw his performances. There's so much soul and energy, i don't know i kept listening and I love his songs. So i am quite happy to love his work and fob. ❤

He does so many things just like me :D 1. He is kinda struggling at interviews or telling stories, like he often says "but, yea, uhm..". 2. He has such 'stretchy' thumbs. 3. He always has to move his Hands or play around on anything like his own Fingers. 4. He is Blonde...? 5. While laughing he often claps or puts his Hands in front of his Face. 6. He is actually shy. 7. He maked weird Faces very often. 8. He tries to make 'fun' or tell any story of embarrasing things.

What sucks about being in England is that Patrick Stump is pretty much unheard of! Anyone who does know who he is only know of him from Fall Out Boy and This City isn't even played on the radio! So this is why the girl is coming across quite rude and talking about Fall Out Boy... when Patrick gets more airtime here he'll definitely get some more interviews with better interviewers!
