Thank you for putting this set of videos together! I used them to learn it myself so I could teach it to our intermediate performance group. It must have been a lot of work, but we really appreciate it!

Fantastic video! So helpful! However I'm convinced I'm never going to learn the Big Apple :( It's such a loooong dance. When I first saw it, I kept waiting for the steps to start over and repeat and they never did. I just goes on an on. Such an awesome dance. Maybe when it's the 2030's I'll actually have learned it, lol
@lyndyhopper7 жыл бұрын
i kept thinking there would be repeats too.

The dance, when performed, takes only a couple of minutes. It's a lot of different steps, but I found that even a relative beginner, as I am, can learn it from beginning to end. This video breaks down the steps really well, but it's just a start. It helps to see the entire dance performed to music and to learn the music. Also, watch various videos of the dance performed, and if possible take some classes in person. Of course, practice, practice, practice!

Thank you for posting this and the series of videos that break down the moves. I'm learning The Big Apple now along with a dance routine for a performance and my head has been in such a jumble trying to learn both at the same time. This will be a life saver.

Hey, this is not "really" a KZbin function. We added the thumbnails with our editing software and then added a clickable area on them with KZbin. Patrick

This may be very simple, but does anyone know how this video has a preview of several other videos that you can click and watch? I've played around with KZbin's annotations and linked it to a video, but haven't gotten it to show a few seconds of the video I want and didn't know if Patrick and Natasha edited this some other way.

I think you're leaving an 8 of walking to the london bridge out. It should be 4 8's between grabbing partner's hand and beginning to clap in lines, not 3
