All great stuff! I was Previously an Automotive salesperson for 11 years, but now for the last 5 years a Business Development Rep for a Restoration and Mold Remediation company here in Southern California. My main verticles are Property Management companies, HOA property management, Realtors, Commercial realty, etc. B2B is a bit of a new passion of mine and I wanted to touch on your description of ICP... Something else you might want to touch on is that All information should be entered into either a personal or company database, ex. Company CRM (Hubspot or Google sheets, etc.) Also, the importance of being involved in industry events, educational expos, and their local chamber of commerce can help immensely. None of this is really mentioned so I thought I would throw in my two cents. Keep em coming!

The third part on how to connect to customer is the the most challenging and uneasy for many business owner or self development manager, ..cold call, cold email are cold way the least effective way to gain trust ,they are anoying and unethical, instead making a killer content that trigger the prospect to call you first or send you an email, the more we chase them the faster they run away from you, attract..not pull, be magnetic..if not learn the skill to be magnetic

Hey, thanks for the video. Since BD is working in the new area, normally, the ideal customer profile and pains are unknown, how shall I start with that? Anyway to figure out?
@patrickdang4 жыл бұрын
I would start with who your competitors are and see if you can find who their clients are from their website. Usually they'll have some logos and case studies. From those case studies or even if they have blogs, you can reverse engineer to see what problems their clients have and how they solved them. If you're a competitor to them, your clients should also have similar problems.

9:18, "You just Google how other people are getting their leads"? Please elaborate. Tks
@patrickdang4 жыл бұрын
Sure. Let's say you're selling HR software to small and medium businesses and your competition is Zenefits. I would Google "how does Zenefits generate outbound leads". Go through the first page of search results and see if any leaders have done an interview or talk about how they are growing their company. From there, I would watch the interview or read articles relating to how that company generate leads. Now once you get that key info, you have to see if you can get a similar result if you took inspiration from their strategy. You can do this for any industry from real estate, finance, tech, etc. Let me know if you have questions on this.
