I work is an account manager for a tech sales company right out of college, stepped away to work in higher education, and now I'm getting back into tech sales. I'm trying to knock off the ring rust, and your channel is an extremely valuable resource to not only refresh my memory of best strategiesand industry terms, but I'm also learning a ton of new information. Recently subscribed, and I'll be sure to refer this channel to others beginning in the field. Love what you're doing dude!

Very good but remember... before you can speak with the prospect you have to get past the gatekeeper! Get creative on the Gatekeeper... Unless you have a direct line to the prospect themselves. The Gatekeeper is the key to opening a positive conversation with the prospect. They could be your advocate for the prospect! We keep forgetting that your great advice never gets to be used if you can't handle the gatekeeper! Like Spock said... Remember!

Hey Patrick, First I can not thank you enough for your amazing videos, they are truly amazing, straight to the point and amazing Second regarding to starting the cold call with the following phrase " hey X I'm a little lost " forgive me but I guess " a little lost " doesn't sound professional or sounds more like someone who is in a desperate need for help, so is there is any alternative that you would advise me to use, truly appreciate your effort and help and wish you all the best 🌷🌷

Hey Patrick, great video! Quick question - what if after you ask them "Does that sound fair to you?" they say yes it does but can you call me back another time? How do we know they are actually interested in speaking at a later time or are just pushing us away? Thanks in advance!
@patrickdang3 жыл бұрын
You can then ask “okay great, what day works best for you” if they give you a date and time, there is some level of interest. If they don’t give you a date and time, you can ask “okay interesting, it doesn’t seem like you’re interested in scheduling another meeting. Is this the case here because if you’re not interested, I don’t want to waste either of our time.” From there, if they give a date and time, you should be good to go. And if they say that they actually are not interested, that’s alright. Just move on to the next prospect. Hope that helps!
@nimitacooks3 жыл бұрын
@@patrickdang thank you! That definitely helps. I like the upfront approach in just asking if they're not interested so either one of us don't waste time! I'm definitely going to try that going forward. Also, can you do a video in the future (unless you already have one on this) on using a CRM (eg. Salesforce) as effectively as possible in sales?

Do i need college to work in tech? I am 21 and work in sales at a car dealership and want to transition into tech sales
@patrickdang4 жыл бұрын
It’s not mandatory but large established tech companies like Google and high profile startups typically prefer a undergraduate degree. It’s still possible to break into tech sales without a sales degree but you’ll have to demonstrate you’re ability to sell tech products which is typically more complex relative to car sales.

I like talking but its bit too wordy Patrick, if your making many sales calls per day it will sap your enthusiasm saying same long opener over and over, your vibe will be off after the 5th call, any shorter version that does the same job?

What if the client you called is not the decision maker. I hope you can create a video whereas they are not the client itself and pursuing them to give you the direct contact or transfer you directly to the owner

Hello i this video is a value bomb. I was wondering if there is any way which I can use to get the business Owners social media accounts of eCommerce Businesses. I think it will be better and more effective if we can reach out directly to the Business owners but unfortunately I don't know how to do so. Please if you can help me this I will very happy
@patrickdang4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. In your situation, I would make a list of all the eCommerce businesses you'd targeting. Then I would go on LinkedIn to find the owners of these brands and use a tool like Apollo or Hunter to find their direct email. If you're targeting larger brands, you'll most likely find the key decision makers on LinkedIn. But if you're targeting small local brands, finding the decision makers may be more difficult if those owners are not on LinkedIn.

He's not really 'lost.' He's just saying that and then asking for 'permission' to tell the prospect why he's calling to make the prospect drop his guard and go into listening/helping mode.
