The "mean" looking Native American is a trope in Hollywood and the media. It's used so much we Native American's often make fun of it. We cover some memes related to that! Bearsun Visits the Navajo Nation as well!

So funny story that happened to my dad at a powwow. We are eating lunch, he's still wearing his traditional wear and a lady walks up and says, I didn't know Indians ate hotdogs. My dad looks at me and says, that was a buffalo leg. She didn't know what to do after that. Like don't people get we are human of today and we even shop at stores for food and clothes? It's funny I can't help it

Most people with common sense understand that. I will tell you that in most public schools they hardly ever teach us about how Native Americans live today in fact they really only bring up native tribes when referencing colonial wars. I know a lot of people who still think that Native Americans act in a stereotypical way because that’s all they’ve been taught.

My Cherokee Dad sat stoically in his chair every night of my life. Mom always said we have to watch the westerns because that's what he likes. He never said anything. When I was in high school he said, " Can we watch that show where the guy steals stuff?" (It Takes A Thief) Mom and I nearly fell off the couch. "There are no horses in that show." He didn't answer. Mom and I could have watched all kinds of shows all of those years.

My Great grandmothers were featured on the cover of "The Book of Elders, The life stories & wisdom of great American Indians," published in 1994, and on it they were shown as these stoic grandma's, I later found out that they didn't like the photographer because of that picture, it was not how they usually took pictures together. Plus he would ask inappropriate questions and made a lot of ignorant statements. Anyway, our family photos show them all side by side smiling, laughing or singing together, there was hardly any of them looking all stern like that, and you can see the irritation in their eyes too. One of them even refused to speak English in front of him, and she only did that with people she didn't like. I miss them

When I need a quick laugh, I rewatch the pants wearing bison video you made. Can you film a reaction video to the actress meeting up with a 🐻 bear while grocery shopping? Patrick might have to judiciously "beep" the audio though. Lol Take care and be safe 😷

I just found you guys today while I was looking for clips from the Reservation Dog. My daughter, who lives in Oklahoma, was all excited bcuz she found out that it was filmed in Oklahoma. Lol. You guys and your guests are wonderful! I've been watching your videos all day and laughing...my dog kept looking at me like I was a nut. I hope you keep making your videos and continue educating people about your culture.
