You can get other exhaust gaskets that should limit that hotness of the valve covers from the HP manifolds FEL-PRO MS 90425

@@PatrickMichael2002 They have a upturn that mostly covers the Upper curve of the manifold thus should shop that heat damage you saw on the valve covers
