Horse the band from the start were on the fringe of punk/hardcore and metalcore, they really did write music that cant be put in a box per say its a one of a kind sound/art that I don't think many bothered to copy or try in their own way. they really did explore a sound no one really did and damn they sure wrote some great music

When I was 15 i celebrated my upcoming 16th bday by sharing a fifth of jack daniels with a friend. We went down to a creek behind some houses down the street. Long story short, i drank way too much, passed out and he left me there, my lower half in the water, in the winter. I woke up at like 9pm, probably hypothetmic and unable to stand. I crawled down the path between the houses to the sidewalk on the main street and i just thought, theres no way i can crawl all the way home like this. Eventually someone found me unconscious and woke me up, called my parents and most def saved my life. All of that was to say that "gotta get, gotta get up" part really resonates with me.
