Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
Some of you have been asking for it for a very long time, now it's finally done. The music from "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" is one of my favorite Hans Zimmer soundtracks, even though I haven't seen the movie yet. This piano version is based on the tracks "Homeland" and "Run Free". Enjoy the longest arrangement I've done so far!

Honestly, being a movie with so little dialogue, Spirit really relied heavily on its music. The fact that you were able to catch so much of the story in this cover is really incredible

It never really occurred to me before, but no matter how hectic the theme becomes, there's still hints of the Homeland theme. Spirit never stops wanting and actively trying to get home, no matter what's happening around him.

You know, I've always been aware of the parts of the Homeland theme that keep slipping in, but never put into words what that means...probably because it's so obvious. But that doesn't keep it from having a resonant meaning. So thanks for stating it, I love it. :)

"The story that I want to tell you cannot be found in a book. They say the history of the West was written from the saddle of a horse, but it's never been told from the heart of one. Not till now. I was born here, in this place that would come to be called the old West. But to my kind, the land was ageless. It had no beginning and no end, no boundary between Earth and sky. Like the wind in the buffalo grass, we belonged here. We would always belong here. They say the Mustang is the spirit of the West. Whether that West was won or lost in the end, you'll have to decide for yourself. But the story that I want to tell you, is true. I was there, and I remember. I remember the sun and the sky and the wind calling my name, in a time when wild horses ran free."

I first saw this movie when it was released in 2002. Over the next nearly 2 decades, I have lost count of how many times I have seen this. I was 20 then and have a 7 year old son now, who also loves this movie. It was Zimmer's absolutely incredible music and Bryan's soulful voice that made this movie from amazing to outstanding. Thank you so much for bringing back all those old memories. A superb piece beautifully put together.

I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me to hear the music from this movie given the love and respect it truly deserves. I have to agree about how incredible this soundtrack remains and that it is pretty much tied for me with "The Lion King"--which is saying something! On top of that, it also has strong emotional meaning for me. Growing up I had horses myself (or rather, my mom owned them and I got to help her take care of and ride them), so they've always had a special place in my heart. When "Spirit" was soon to come out in theaters, my mother and I were both blown away by the trailers, especially the music, and were planning to see it together. Unfortunately, that same year she developed cancer, and ended up passing before she could see it. I went in her place, for her...I loved it as much as I knew she would have. Saw it twice in theaters, in fact (something that wasn't very common for me to do, outside a few really great movies when I could afford it), and cried both times. In fact I cry every time I hear the music from it (*especially* "Homeland" and its return in the reprise of "I Will Always Return"). I'm tearing up even thinking about it now, and I cried listening to your rendition. Thank you so much, and you really should see it when you can, if you haven't by now. The plot may be predictable, but it's the execution that matters, and some stories don't need to be incredibly original when they have timeless messages and emotions to express (plus, those amazing visuals and the music). In fact I think I'll dig it out and watch it as soon as I can.

Also nochmal, vielen, vielen Dank für Deine tolle Arbeit Cheers

Thank you for the incredibly ingenious videos that you bring us month after month. It is really remarkable how you can produce this type of video in such short intervals and make it available to the community for free. There is no denying that here on YT you are, by far, making the best arrangements. In my ears, these always contain exactly the right amount of musical design options and still not too many bells and whistles (I didn't know how to express it otherwise, since I'm not a music expert ^^). And of course there are also these incredibly beautiful and always matching visualizations that offer that unmistakable Patrik Pietschmann look. You've never seen the movie? You missed something. It's one of the most beautiful movies I know. ❤️ But please the old film, not the new film version. 😅 Thanks for the beautiful piano performance ❤️

Can you do some of the OSTs from Attack on Titan’s Final Season? Like Ashes on the Fire or the Warhammer Titan Theme?

Took me a while to remember that the second song was when Spirit escaped from the train leashes and forest fires.

It actually plays about 3 times throughout the movie as well, not just there :)
