That Ratbat figure is a fantastic reuse of the Sweeper mold. The color scheme really pops. I don’t know anything about IDW Ratbat, but this figure is really impressive in both modes.

They should have made this pack Orion and Megatron and the other Ratbat and Shockwave. Call them the Brothers of Cybertron and Golden Age Senators packs. Edit: 9:00 He was turned into cyber-bay by his former henchman, Soundwave. Ratbat was supplying the Decepticon uprising, his own machinations to take power. Soundwave ended up believing in Megatron’s cause and turned on Ratbat because he was a source of corruption that oppressed Cybertron. After the war, Ratbat takes command while still a cassette. Leading the Cons while the Autobots kept them prisoners. His scheming cost him his life. He would be assassinated by Arcee on the orders of Prowl.

At this point I'm all in with the Megatron recolors. I have done it for Sideswipe and the Seekers so why not. Poor guy had to have a little surgery right out of the box though.PLEASE HASBRO STOP THE BLEEDING! WE NEED A DIFFERENT MEGS MOLD! 🤞🥺😥

Something I've just realized is this mold might make a good retool for a Legacy Beast Wars Universe Depth Charge if they can figure out how to alter it so he has his manta ray alt mode

The book "Transformers Exodus" gives a good story for these two bots. Tells how Rat-bat gets subdued by Soundwave.

how it happen was he send soundwave to kill megatron but swapped and betrayed ratbat and took his spark and putted it in a bat cassette body.

As long as the paint apps are top notch, I can dig the repaints for these TF. Glad they are good looking and have just enough re-tool to justify another purchase. That black and purple on Ratbat just pops so well.
