Fun fact: Wreck-gar in the Animated series was voiced by Weird Al Yankovic. Yes, THAT Weird Al. He had wanted to voice Wreck-Gar in the G1 movie, but was too busy with the Dare To Be Stupid tour to do it. When the later chance came to voice him in TFA, he jumped on it and begged them to let him do it.

Reportedly the team behind Animated wanted to go with original voice actor Eric Idle, but he was busy with the Broadway run of Spamalot at the time. [Since "Weird Al's" Devo-style anthem became associated with the Junkions, he was the second most obvious pick.]

That generations Wreck-gar is a FANTASTIC figure imo. Never had the G1. And yes, twelve year old me was sitting in a movie theater watching the new 86' Transformers movie wondering why they didn't bring dead Optimus to the junkions too! As you pointed out, all it takes is that magic car wax!😆

Gotta admit I didn’t not know they had a toy of him back then. Living in Montana in the 80s, I didn’t get to see all the figures back then. Would of liked to of had him as a kid. Will most likely get the new one coming out at some point

I remember getting Wreck Gar for my Birthday way back then. Forget who else I got back then but remember him. Had my Grandma's Florida room to play in and he rolled so well on there. You bet ready to get the new one. Funny seeing this old mug. Surprised Hasbro didn't have a swap out face plate with the old one just so we could ha e an early junkion of have 2.

I know this is a little late, but I just wanted to say I love this review. This is the only review I have seen of Wreck-Gar, and I never had the figure so I was always curious what he looked like, meaning I knew what he looked like, but not in up close detail. Again very awesome review.

LOL, talking both TV and memes... that is actually great. 😂 Honestly, I love this guy. Just the quirkiness of his oddball trait made him an instant fave for me. He just was a highlight of every season three episode he was in. And honestly, I like the weirdness of the figure. It does kinda add to the oddball nature of the character.

I love how the concept behind the Junkions is gangs from Road Warrior or British biker punks. I hope when they remold the Studio 86' Wreck-Gar they make the bull horned junkion.

Toy aside, I always liked what the Junkions represented in the Transformers universe. Transformers that existed outside the traditional lore of Autobots and Decepticons. As for the toy, I'm laughing because G1 goodness*. *G1 goodness is best viewed through nostalgia glasses. Nostalgia glasses sold separately.

Yup once you see it , you can't look past it...I was watching the 86 movie a few weeks ago and my wife asked me " Why does he have laser nipples " ? Ugh... thanks, great , that's forever ingrained in my mind every time I look at this character now ! It's bad enough I have to deal with Primes death , now this ?
