I think you missed the point Justin was trying to make he wants the twins when they come of age to be able to take the black truck out together as brothers I’m sure there going to be the only 17 or 18 year olds on there Ps driving a 79 that is built the way that truck is

Justin... this truck (and everything you said about cars, dads and their sons) has sentimental value to me as a fan too! This is the truck that introduced me to Overlanding/4x4/4Wheeling and all that lifestyle. I was searching KZbin for "Things to do in Australia" about 4 months ago and came across Patriot Games Season 1.... I couldn't wait each day to get from work to watch another episode.. I just knew it was too good to binge! I was already a petrol head... but I havent stopped talking about the truck/SUV my son and I are gonna get... been looking into GU's, Hiluxs, Rangers etc... and guess what.. now that I've moved to Oz, I can't wait till sometime next year to buy my first truck/Ute/SUV to tour this great continent leave my truck alone and build a second one 😁

BeRad I understand being attached to a vehicle. Became so attached to my Troopy and had it for over 20 years. Travelled the big back yard when the kids were young, 3,5 and 7 years of age. What started out as a one year expedition turned into 2.5 years. I just retired and sold the Troopy this week and an still suffering anxiety over selling it. On the upside I picked up an 80 series to tie me over for a couple of years with the intension of purchasing a new LC79 and maybe have your team do some customising. All the best for your future endeavours.

I love that truck so much I’m going to be buying one all my mates have 79s and I want one as well but I don’t want just anyone to build it I want the best guys in Australia to build it and that’s the Patriot Team and maybe after I get it built the Patriot family will let me tag along on a week end trip or something for the trucks first drive

You can afford to keep it the way it is and build another obviously. I doubt you'll change that particular black truck. It's sentimental and looks great. Just put it in a shed and be one of those old men at 70 who have 15 plus cars in mint condition. Or do a give away with it like diesel brothers do to gain publicity. Either way, it's forever a icon to patriot campers and the overland community so that's what matters most. P.s I just moved to Australia to start fresh and hopefully overland so you could always sell it to me and I'll pay it off over the next 255years.

G’day Justin, Ashton & Christian. I reckon leave the original black truck just as she is, frozen in time. She’s the truck that broke the internet & helped launch you guys when you were starting out so hold on to memories. Plus 2 sons means 2 rigs Justin you gotta know that mate haha. So build the newer version then everyone’s happy. I just bought my very first 79 series yesterday, I’m absolutely stoked, now just getting the money together for mods. Awesome work on the gear & the channel, keep it up 👍🏻.

Great video on the black truck! I personally think each boy should have his own black truck. And have them personalised their trucks to see what they’ll come up with. Like you said, it’s gonna be theirs. I would probably add portal gears to the trucks to make it more capable of handling any thing cape York can throw at it!

I am a Patriot Campers fan and an owner of an X1 Signature Series Camper. I have seen your every video. Please leave the black truck as is, an heirloom build to give to the twins. But do a like for like build showing how PCOR, Redarc, TJM, Airbag Man and all your other build product partners have advanced their products over the last 3-4 years. That would be worth watching and awesome for the coalition you have built for Aussie engineering expertise.
