I can’t remember who manufactures it but there is a guide rod with a built in piece that rotates out to replace needing a paper clip. Well shown.

Which scratch is that? The slide lock scratch? Must’ve been while disassembling without the recoil spring tool. Unfortunately, I can’t see any scratches, being a blind guy. Thanks for the heads up. I do appreciate it.

That is so Mickey Mouse! Why couldn't they just put a bushing on it and do it like everyone else? How is needing an improvised tool to do basic field strip preferable to 100 years of combat proven function to these clowns? That is a big negative, there, Rubber Ducky! The only thing keeping me from getting one of these is that goofy paperclip bullshit.

Yes, it’s definitely a pain. The only thing I could come up with is the recoil spring is more rigid, compared to the normal 45 recoil spring. Between using a full length guide rod, and the recoil spring retaining plug; that’s captured inside the slide, it is an odd design. I did disassemble it without using the paper clip, but it was extremely difficult trying to reassemble without it. Since the recoil spring does not stick past the end of the slide, it has to be installed compressed. I’m sure is easy for those that are not blind like me. Thanks for checking it out. Anyhow, I do appreciate it.
