If we could somehow turn pick 3 into 2 picks between 10-20 it’d be a game changer. Allow us to get a legit WR1 and Tackle while also taking a swing on Pennix or Nix in the 2nd round. Doesn’t make sense to take a Ferrari at 3 with no gas money in our pocket

Aiyuk is an awesome option, great video. Having chemistry with Daniels is a nice bonus. If they made a trade like this for Aiyuk I would expect the Pats to " find other picks". Trade Mac, trade Judon maybe, trade down from 68...etc.

Fun mock! But ZERO interest in trading #34 for a WR, there are a TON of fantastic WR prospects that will be there. Paying the 34th pick $2m/year is a no brainer over paying Aiyuk close to $30M/year. Aiyuk is not a 🔝 10 WR, he just plays in a fantastic system on a stacked team. He wouldn't give you much more (if any more) than a Ridley, who you can sign for the same or less $ and still have the 34th pick

I like the Daniels pick, but the rest is not enough, not a fan of the trade to lose picks. Maybe some other trade scenario, IDK, not a fan of 4 picks plus 1 WR. The Patriots should find a trade partner or two in the 2nd or 3rd rounds to get a few more middle round picks, someone like the Chargers or Titans or not more than 4-5 picks away from their original picks incase a top prospect at WR and or TE is available. Lots or WRs WAAAYYY better than every WR on the Patriots last season (because of the QB play, but still) available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds this year. My mocks on the nfl draft database may not be based on reality, BUT, I have had a lot of success trading down and doubling up on OT, WR, TE, RB and getting good solid CBs and LBs by acquiring more picks from 2nd/3rd round trade downs.

It seems like Jayden Daniels might be GONE at 3. Do you really want him? I was seeing a mock draft in which Commanders were willing to trade down from 2 to 3, that is, 1.2 on their side for NE's 1.3 +2.34. Would you favor such a trade? If so, this trade could be made on March 13th.

I would love Drake Maye. Its hard for me to trade up though and lose draft capital unless we are getting a proven NFL talent. If Daniels goes to WAS I would be stocked to get Maye

That’s too much for Aiyuk. He is product of having a lot of talent on the field, like McCaffery Samuel Kittle. Such talent on offense does not exist on the patriots right now and adding Aiyuk won’t change anything. Better off drafting weapons now and drafting a QB in 2 years.

I am a believer in Aiyuk. Yes he has been a #2 option but he is a damn good #2 and would be a instant #1 on NE unless they get MHJ, Odunze, or Nabers then I totally agree with you!

Ive literally done 90% of my mocks where Im either acquiring more draft capital or staying put and adding talent for a young QB. Go watch some of those if you dont like this one it is just a idea to add a Top 15 WR in the NFL

ENTIRELY TOO MUCH for Aiyuk!! I wouldn't even trade 2 second round rookie picks in a Dynasty Fantasy league for him. Those picks a way too valuable to be building the roster to waste them on a WR2 or WR3.

Aiyuk is not a WR 3 thats for sure. Id rather take a guy who's established in the league and a Top 15 WR then another Nkeal Harry, Tyquan Thornton or some other bust WR

Im not a fan of JJ because I think he needs to have alot of talent around him and needs to sit for a year or so. Dont think New England can afford to do that this year with their current roster situation. Need talent to start contributing and developing.

Sorry to be critical but not a huge fan of this line of thinking at all. We are walking into arguably one of the deepest WR drafts in the history of the NFL and we are giving away picks to trade for a fringe top 20 WR in Aiyuk who is in a contract year and wants to get paid? How is this good budget management? Or personnel management? There are 10 1st round quality WR in this draft where we could have team control for 4+ years depedning on when we draft them (5 if we grab MHJ at pick 3, 4 if we draft at pick 34)? We should be acquiring more picks leveraging our position rather than losing picks. Sorry this is a huge miss of a mock brosef. My alternative plan: Trade pick 3 (pick value: 2200) to Chargers for Pick 5 (pick value: 1700) + 37 (pick value: 530) which they overpay slightly for in a bidding war with Cardinals to secure MHJ. You could steal lock and load on Jaylen Daniels or the 3rd QB at pick 5 AND acquire another 2nd rounder. If the Patriots play their cards right, they could trade down a 2nd time if they don't covet that 3rd QB to pick 8 (pick value: 1400) plus 2025 1st rounder or Minnesota pick 11 (pick value: 1250) + 2025 1st round pick. If leveraged correctly, we could double the picks we have in the first 2 rounds in this year and next year's draft. With this move, we could see a draft which yields us: Pick 8: Rome Odunze (if Atlanta trade) Pick 11: Brock Bowers (if Minny trade) Pick 34: Michael Penix Jr. Pick 37: Troy Fataunu or Jordan Morgan (or best OT)

All good. I am skeptical of New Englands ability to draft a develop WR so getting someone who in my mind is a Top 20 WR would instantly boost this offense. We have missed on to many WR for me to believe we will just get a 2nd round pick that will be as good as Aiyuk is right away. This is a deep WR class but we have seen over and over NE is not good at identifying talent at the WR position

There is not a better WR then him in the draft unless its Odunze, MHJ or Nabers. There is not 2nd round WR id rather take over Aiyuk who is established and we know what he is. Yes its a new regime, but alot of the front office is the same and they have not been able to identify and develop WR.
