I think if you push the birds into the water, it restarts their AI as they are not supposed to be in the water, and they work again, so that's a shame about the red ptarmigan

Typically but some animals can make diamond at the level below max level examples of animals that can make it as not a max level are whitetail wildebeest and all animals that go to lvl 5 or 3 as their max lvl
