After having my daughter I realized all of the propaganda I was raised with had given me an idea when I was young that motherhood was the rough, boring, tedious option in life and I'd rather do something "epic" like work for the CIA or be a trauma surgeon or a missionary overseas, but I'm realizing how epic it is to be a mother and live every day in pursuit of God's mission to raise a well rounded, grounded, faithful adult with love and protection and guidance all through their development. It's hard! But it's absolutely the most worthwhile and exciting thing ever. I'm still wondering about whether or not to do it again because of health issues but God will decide that for me. My one is SO educational and such a blessing!
@abbyd2542 ай бұрын
@@TboneWTF Actually, my plan is to give my child/ren a very thorough education about the measurable things in this world and let them know that I can't prove God to them through science and math and that I'll always love them no matter what they believe but present to them the things that point to God as a Creator and as the Father as taught by Christianity that have helped me to feel confident and secure in my faith, AND to pray over them day and night that God would show Himself to them in their lives and protect and bless them and their children. I will teach the Bible along with other history, and when they're old enough allow discussions about why some people think it's literal here or there and some people think it's allegorical, and we will be involved with a church in order to fellowship but I will never encourage blind loyalty to church leadership, and I plan to study other faiths and traditions so that they understand how many other viewpoints have existed/still exist. I want their faith to be their own, and their relationship to be between them and God, and if they don't feel that faith and conviction to never need to lie to me about it.
@michaelfetter5413Ай бұрын
Faith is not a feeling it’s actions. You need to teach your children the truth and not have such an ambivalent attitude about their eternal disposition. Do you have a husband?
@ira_herself99722 күн бұрын
@@michaelfetter5413 she started with good intentions and went downhill. Ambivalence can be cured though. If I understand it well, are you asking her about a husband as if they are all hollier than...? They aren't and not all men should be married. Women without husbands are not lost from Jesus. It's a journey and although a man (of God) would help immensely, it's better not to risk meeting one that is just a drag and a torture for a woman. Greetings from Spain.

He loved me throughout the years of ignoring Him; my arrogance, my lack of humility, my ignorance. But He never gave up on me and He continued to guard and protect me from all kinds of evil. He knew that towards the end of my life I would return to Him and I can never thank God enough for His love, His compassion, His mercy, and His forgiveness. ☦☦

Love much of what this priest is saying. I have the opposite story. Became a born again Christian and I’m walking with God. I grew up Orthodox. The way I see it is the Bible is true. I wanted to see what I was leaving and the more I researched Orthodoxy the more I cling to Christ alone and nothing else. It doesn’t matter how old you claim a church is it doesn’t make it true. Study church fathers and you will find so many differences. Some didn’t like icons and some did. Eventually icons became normalized. So does this make those early church fathers anathema?

The difference between orthodox and the Protestant, is that the orthodox acts as if they are the original church. Every apostle is buried in an altar of the only Church of God. No one argues that fact.
@Sofia-0001Күн бұрын
Orthodoxy is the first and the right form of Christianity, becoming the only officially accepted form of Christianity at the 451 AD Ecumenical Council of Chalcedon, under the patronage of Pope Leo I in Rome and empress Pulcheria, sister of emperor Theodosius and wife of emperor Marcian. Contrary to what many believe today Orthodoxy was synonymous with the Romans, while most ethnic Greeks were Monophysites, until 682 AD council of Constantinople, due to the fact that most former Monopysite Greek locations, like Alexandria and Antioch fell under the Arabs, and were already Islamized for decades. The former Roman lands left, still under Heraclid Greeks since 610 AD, were mostly inhabited by Orthodox Romans of Balkans and south Italy. Need to make it clear that in 610 AD after a year of siege the Roman Constantinople fell to Heraclid Greeks, leading a Berber mercenary army from north Africa and for the first time in 780 years of Latin Romanity the Heraclids changed the official language to Greek in 612 AD and then the official form of Christianity to Monophysicism. Until 682 AD change back from the officially Monophysite doctrine to Orthodoxy, between the Roman martyrs for Orthodoxy can count the Archbishop of Constantinople Flavian I, killed in 449 after the Council of Ephesus, at the hands of, ordered by the Monophysite Greek Patriarch Dioscorus of Alexandria. Council specifically held in Ephesus, to attract Flavian far from the Orthodox Constantinople or Rome. Since the Monophysite Heraclids declared Orthodoxy as unacceptable immediately after 610, in 653 AD Pope Martin I of Rome was imprisoned for promoting Orthodoxy and murdered without a judgement in Constantinople. And the last known martyr but not least, was one of the most famous and prolific Christian theologians, Maxim the Confessor, celebrated by both Orthodox and Catholic churches. Born in 592 as an Orthodox Roman in Constantinople Maximus the Confessor was accused of spreading Orthodoxy in the Exarchate of north Africa. Other charges raised against the theologian were high treason and assumingly hating Greeks. Goes famous in history his dialogue with the Greek judges in Constantinople, who asked him before sentence at the end "Why do you hate Greeks so much??" his answer was "Because I am a ROMAN by FAITH!" The sentence for the old Orthodox Roman theologian was hands, tongue, eyes and ears to be removed and to be exiled at the periphery in Georgia today, so he can never speak and write Orthodoxy teachings again. Obviously the old Maximus died soon after from so many wounds. Sounds weird today, in a Christianity divided between Byzantine Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism, but dear brothers and sisters is only fair to know that since its inception and for centuries after to be a ROMAN equaled to be a LATIN speaking ORTHODOX. Popes in Rome implemented Orthodoxy, were Orthodox and gladly died for Orthodoxy.

All Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus are brothers and sisters. Were all parts of one body. I have severe issues with a lot of teachings by many churches, but none that adhere to the teachings that are found in every Bible.

Its important to understand the Bible was compiled by the Church to limit a basis of theology. It is Gods message to us and part of our walk with Christ as His personal letter to us. God inspires man to uphold His church and preach His theology to all.

The fragmentation of religions was foretold in the 7th century, it is related by Aouf ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: “The Jews divided into 71 sects: one is in paradise and 70 are in hell fire. The Christians divided into 72 sects: one is in paradise and 71 are in hell fire. And by the one who has my soul in His hand, this nation of mine will be divided into 73 sects: One is in paradise and 72 are in the hell fire.” It was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, who do you see they [members of the saved group] are?” He [SAW] said, “Al- Jama’ah [those who are upon the way of the Prophet [SAW] and his companions].” [IbnMaajah] Meanwhile secular authorities’ battle to destroy the pure essence of Islam while granting endorsement to innovated Islamic off shoots because they lack the central elements which made fundamental Islamic values the highest intimidation to their satanic rule. On the other hand, True Islam is made to bear the label of “terror” and portrayed to the world as the singular threat against civilization; its destruction was shown as a necessary endeavor in the interest of sustaining the global culture of progress and “peace”, in reality though, the global war was put together by Satanists to obscure their moves and eliminate all oppositions as they inch towards the culmination of an ancient plan with the emergence of a global ruler over a society molded in the utmost expression of disbelief. Understood by few, as globalist’s ultimate nemesis, Islam presents the most terrifying prospect to them. ‘The sleeping giant’ they hope will never awake; it is the final monotheistic religion of Almighty Allah and the single dynamic that will bring clarity to the world and unravel all the falsities they labored for centuries to establish. Accordingly, the elitist’s greatest fear transformed to their greatest hate, Islam whose essential creed is peace, was overnight recreated as ‘terror’ while humanity’s psyche was manipulated into collective hatred against it; Muslims aided them by neglecting their roles. Presented with a plain canvas they painted Islam in the most off-putting light and manufactured their mutilated version with terror as its official face, in Islam’s name they plot terror acts which portray viciousness as the face of Islam and grant them the moral justification to institute a global campaign against the Truth. According to them Islam as guided by the Shari’ah is the bedrock of global terrorism, human right abuses and social decline in every part of the world. However that isn’t the truth. In fact, outside the alleged paternity of Jesus Crist nothing can be further away from the truth. There is nothing in the Islamic Shari’ah which the Satanists consistently seek to destroy that is not in conformity to human nature, its detailed laws and sanctions are divinely ordained to create maximum conditions of goodness with which to safeguard the nobility and wellbeing of human kind while arresting human destructive tendencies with an equal bent. Islam is revealed to ensure ethical control over man’s negative disposition, it is guided by the Sharia legal code which guarantees that moral and material development goes together hand in hand reinforcing each. Islam further guarantees a peaceful and optimum existence for human beings and in its ultimate form Islam manifests as the unadulterated principles of the Haneef Creed of Prophet Abraham peace be upon him. In addition, terrorism, ignorance and bigotry are far removed from the essential decency and universal nature of Islam, modern coinages like Islamic terrorism, violent extremism, repressive fundamentalism etc. are the globalist’s preferred terminologies alien to the true nature of Islam. Muslims are taught to be educated, resourceful, kind and tolerant to each other and towards non-Muslims particularly Christians and Jews who are seen as brothers of sorts. True Muslims are envoys of peace and they are expected to spread their creed by the nobility of their conduct which provide

If he is from California, why does he appear to have a Greek accent?

@@oimss2021 I speak a couple of languages (badly), but I do hear him pronounce the letter o in a way that gives some words a "foreign" flair, and also sometimes the letter s at the end of a word--where we might give it a z sound, he gives it that soft s. But also in a couple phrases, Fr. Josiah pronounces the syllables in a staccato style, with each syllable having the same length. That is, he doesn't make one syllable longer than another. Reminds of me Spanish, which would make sense, if he hears a lot of Spanish in his area. If you're good at languages, you "import" linguistic styles without being aware of it, which is probably what's happening here. In any case, sounds kind of cool!

So tell me then, why aren’t more people adopting children who don’t have homes who have no families, yet people look down on “children” who are adopted and it’s so sad people can multiply like rabbits yet they can’t go and help an innocent child who has no home or family.

@@TboneWTF This isn’t the Catholics bud. Wrong denomination. Orthodox Priests aren’t, if never have been known for being abusive to children. They promote marriage and families. They themselves are allowed to have children and a wife. Unlike Catholics. Who sadly have a long history of child abusing

People do adopt, & some people, unfortunately, do look down on adopted kids. So the solution is go adopt a child in need or help provide the spiritual support for those that have. Be the example of what should be & don't shy away from speaking against the wrongs you witness. The kids & their adoptive parents need you to not speak on the sidelines only, get in there 🙏🙏🙏
