Whoa. I could literally smell the 2002 Yu-Gi-Oh nostalgia through my computer screen. I was in Wal-Mart earlier looking through the card game isle and I still remember when all these classic tins used to be on the shelves. Good times.

This takes me back middle school lol. In the beginning, teachers had no problem with students bringing cards to school and dueling and whatnot. Some people must've had some issues or voiced their concerns, though, cause after a while, they made them forbidden items. Guess someone must've thought it'd foment gambling habits or something. Kinda strange, cause even if we DID trade at times, we never actually played for something other than fun. No cards or money on the line. From that point on, duels and trade meetings were strictly clandestine. We couldn't just duel in the open during recess. We had to go to areas of the school people barely ever went to, pull out our playmats and play there. I recall this one time we had this secret trade at the back of the school. It was raining, and someone actually brought an umbrella and held it over the people who were trading. Everyone else huddled around them and, to the outsider, this could have looked like a meeting of mafiosos. Good times they were. I apologize for the long post but I hold this TCG close to my heart, and though I may not play it much nowadays (if at all), I cherish the memories :]

Things used to be simple and pure. Back then: The star levels of monsters determine how many sacrifices you need to play a powerful card. Use magic and traps to gain the upper hand if things look grim! In some EXTREMELY rare cases, two monsters can actually combine to be something else! Wow! Now: You can special summon every single monster from your extra deck one turn one by using material monsters to filter through to the deck and using tribe specific spells and traps to get the monsters you need to get x5 3000 attack point cards that all have 4-5 special abilities that can't be negated unless a card says a negated ability can be countered but that triggers one of my other 7-8 trigger cards in my graveyard that also activate 4-5 abilities of monsters I have in play that allow me to sacrifice cards I have in play to destroy cards you have in play and then I'll set two cards in my pendulum zone to allow me to activate their pendulum effects and also allow me to summon several cards from my hand/extra deck to begin the cycle all over again. Turn 1 complete, your move!

When I saw this video in my email, I was like: "OMG, WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT?!" The reason for that reaction is simple....Dark Magician is my favorite monster, and that is my favorite Dark Magician artwork. One of the reasons I bought TWO golden boxes of Yugi's Legendary Decks, the second reason is because I wanted another Dark Renewal so I'd have two in my deck. And the third reason is so I can add the first set of decks to my card collection (Who doesn't want to add a brand new Super rare set of Exodia to their collection and keep one set to play with?) and keep the second set of decks as they are to play with. Fourth reason: I wanted two Super rare Mirror Force in my deck.
