Believe it or not, we all get creative block sometimes. In this video I bring a track back to life that I had previously deleted. If you're ever feeling like you're out of ideas and can't finish something, save it and go back to it later. Your best work will come naturally so if you're forcing something, it's time for a break.

my main problem in producing these days is variations to make a track interesting aka that wow factor we all look for.

what helped me was taking everything out of the verse and leaving the baseline. Using the same notes you used in the chorus or 'in the original before you removed it', think of a new melody. Yupp. do it. What happens is that you automatically create a bridge in a way or a new melody to add to the old one. As for variations in drums, beatbox over the melody without any drums and see what you come up with. shit at beatboxing or not, you know what you want in your beat but sometimes, the song just doesn't understand so you gotta force it by beatboxing and figuring it out the drums like that.

Forget everything you have learned about what music should sound like. Screw around and do whatever the fuck you want without thinking if people would like it, that's irrelevant. What's relevant, is if YOU like it. The key is to develop YOUR OWN style and perfecting it, not adapting it to a specific audience. Listen to beats that have that wow factor only. Stay away from what you think is a garbage beat. Drill your head with only the type of music you want to produce until you start hearing these melodies in your sleep. Then translate what you hear to your daw. Focus, practice and discipline. And time. At one time my best music came when I studied and competed with what I thought was the next big hit or wave. And then referenced my music with the best out there. I need to get back to that lol. When you focus into what you want you'll even start predicting where the next trend is going just watch! Stay ahead and stay fresh.

Yo you should make a video on how to copyright tracks, its kind of random, but for the protection of young and beginner producers :)

Copyright actually became automatic under the copyright act of 1976 so it's actually not necessary to file for a copyright for your tracks. But if you want to you can do it online at copyright.gov...If anything were to happen with one of your tracks and you had to go to court, having filed for a copyright would make your defense stronger but again not necessary. The second you create something it's automatically copyrighted whether a picture, poem, song ect.

If you're talking specifically to youtube, yes you could report the person, the video would be taken down and they'd get a copyright strike. If you're talking in general then there's a more extensive answer to the question but legal action could be taken against a person for stealing your work.

Appreciate it! Yea I do. Lyrics usually come into my head while I'm making the track. Melodies/rhythms for them at least and then putting words to those melodies happens really quickly. It's kind of become part of producing now because the type of track I'm working on sets the tone for the lyrics.

mixing actually will help this alot and CAN cure it actually as mixing is complete sound minipulation depending on how far you want to take it... BUT, that is the most annoying fkn clap I've ever heard in my life as it stands in this mix presently. I know exactly the clap he's using because I've been using logic pro for 7+ yrs... ruined several tracks using that clap when I first started using logic pro. all that being said, open an EQ, roll some, of the mids off, open a reverb plugin and wetten tha piss out of it, throw some compression on it, and u will have a totally different clap all together... oh and, depending on the level it's peaking at after all that, drop that volume fader a few DB's most likely! honest to god just that step alone in the current mix would stop alot of that ear grinding shit that clap is causing... lol.... OR... save an hour or 2 and CHOOSE A DIFFERENT CLAP!! LMAO!! but yea it's all in tha mix if u actually wanted to go that route!! all jokes aside tho, dude is talented AF for no longer than it seams he's been involved in production.... absolutely needs ALOT of work on the mixing/engineering side as he admits himself but I've been doing this for 15+ yrs and he can grow alot faster than we were able to if he wants because, when I started, there were no KZbin videos or any other tutorials where someone told u every tip or trick in the book. hell we didn't share our secrets with our own homeboys cuz not only was it how we made our living and fed our families, it is my PASSION.... AND this shit was competitive as hell back then! up until about 5 yrs ago or so when lyricism and all was thrown out tha door lol. once that shit happened, everyone said to hell with it and just started sharing all tha goodies! BUT its still a beautiful thing in a sense cuz it's fun with more folks involved and I can always create my own lil secrets and not tell anyone and still have my own flavor... now that I've rambled on and on, HATS OFF TO THIS GUY! just discovered him today and been watching his videos and it puts a smile on my face watching tha growth!!
