You should use your crumb blocks as the back for your original quilt from those fabrics. Karen from Just Get It Done Quilts does this regularly. She calls it her afterquilt and they are fun!

I’m so laughing at the number of us who said our sewing studio is the cleanest room in the house. I mop and dust all the time because it just makes me crazy when it isn’t clean. I’m going to buy the desk set right now. I need another gridded notebook for quilt design and the other things are adorable! Thanks for sharing!!!

My quilter friend Betty has a sign that says "A clean sewing room is a sign of a broken sewing machine"! I generally agree, although I have spent a couple of days working on finding the floor of my sewing room and putting things I don't have to have immediate access to in the basement. I did vacuum the rug for the first time in many moons. It does feel better to me.

OMG...I had to crack up laughing when you said..."famous last words". I take on so much that I overwhelm myself with too much too do and then it seems like I get nothing accomplished! Used your link to order the Desk Set. I've been going to order it but thought I'd use your link...great way to support our fellow crafters/quilters!!!

Well, that was easy because I cleaned it off yesterday. A friend called and asked for help layering a quilt, so cleared the table. It's still empty because so have a couple projects to layer also.

How about using the crumb blocks in center of the hope quilt back, then use your choice of backing around it to highlight them as "back art"?

I bought a little rechargeable dirt devil years ago. It is a wonderful addition to my sewing room because it is hand held. I run it over my cutting area, around my sewing area surface, pick up any threads that have fallen to the floor.

I vacuum whole house 2-3 times a week & dust it once a week- cause I dislike dusting...., sewing room sometimes gets extra vacuuming as I tend to create a lot of random thread 🧵 bits . Like your idea of narrowing up the solid sections in the jolly bar quilt 👍

How did you know?! Today is cutting day for my Hope Quilt, and before I start a new quilt, I clean my cutting area. It usually means cleaning up after the last sewing project. The Office Bundle has my name all over it. It's a great day in the neighborhood! Thanks, Pat.

My sewing room is on my schedule to do when I clean the basement every other week like dust and vacuum. I clean up after every sew time I do, like put away material, put my material that I cut in a box ready to sew the next time, because I cut my whole project out at one time. Clean off my sew machine and put a cover over it, wind bobbins if need to keep ahead etc. so when time comes to sew I do not spend time putting away things I can set down to sew. This took me many year to incorporate this, instead of willy-nilly sew and clean up a month later. With your reminder I do a little more each time that I see to do, because sewing is the only thing to do during C-19 for me now, and it a another room to keep clean and organized like the house.

I finished 12 more crumb blocks Tuesday! Think I have 23 or 24 now. I had several small pieced blocks (that I didn't make-guess I got at a retreat or something) that I've been hanging onto for quite awhile thinking "I'll do SOMETHING with them". Decided now is the time! Used them as starters & just kept adding around them. Saw a pic the other day that someone used them as the base of house blocks!! So that's what I plan on doing :) I'm so excited.
