During the Faded Love recording session, Patsy Clime was an emotional basket case. it took her 7 to 8 takes to get through the song as she was literally sobbing through every take. Her home life with Charlies wasn't a basket of roses. Faded Love was a very emotional song for Patsy to get through. Her marriage to charlie Dick wasn't the best at that time. plus she was having premoniitions of her own pending death she really didn't want to do the Kansas City benefit plus she was sick as well. The gasp you hear at the end was very real and very heartbreaking for her.

everybody knows they're going to die one day. she probably felt that way because of all the accidents she had. if she felt she was going to die I don't think she would have went to the concert with her kids at home and all. she loved her kids she wouldn't want to leave them without a mother anyway patsy is my favorite singer. I wish that guy Randy would have listened to everybody's advice that day and not fly that plane. she trusted that guy to fly them home safe and the pilot called his wife and she said it was sun shining. no I do not think that patsy thought she was going to die.

One of my favorites, as well. I've been listening to the distinctly one of a kind Ms. Cline since Walkin' After Midnight made her nationally known. It's amazing how quickly circumstances beyond our control can change our life. Though, you have a bond with Patsy through her unfortunate death, it's interesting that she often sang of loss, it seems to have made your love of her and her work greater than it may have been otherwise. Anyway, it's so good that her talent was recorded and is so available for us to hear as it helps to keep our love for her from fading. /:-)
