Patsy Cline perfected the art of heartache and getting that balance of delicate sadness mixed with class and making it sound beautiful. Her voice allowed you as a listener to feel everything she is going through as if you were going through it yourself. The longing, the memories, the emptiness of being left behind. Wrapped in a wonderful, lush sound, Cline knew how to touch the hearts of those who had been hurt by love and her music still resonates more than sixty years after her passing. Timeless and classic. Her voice will continue to echo through the ages......

My favorite singer of all. I am a year 2000 baby and I'm 24 this year, but my mom has played Ms. Cline since she was pregnant with me in late 99. My favorite memory of her music is one day when we were with family, we had gone out to eat at this place called Babe's in Sanger, TX (Best food in Texas, and I've lived all over Texas) and we were waiting for some tables to free up because we had a large group and we waited outside with the other people who also were waiting for tables. This is a very country, very good-mamas-home cooking, family loving, most Texas place in Texas, especially in 2011 when this took place. They had a Jukebox inside and after a Johnny Cash song got done playing, Patsy Cline's Walking After Midnight came on, my absolute favorite. I started singing it and there was an older lady who started singing with me and we got louder and I remember we sang the whole song together ❤ I was so happy to connect with her that day, she was so sweet and was very happy to hear someone so young sing Patsy Cline, she told me she listened to her when she was a little girl on her family's radio in the living room. I hope she's okay and I think of her a lot.❤

Penned by Wayne Walker and Webb Pierce, “Leavin’ On Your Mind” (1963) was one of Patsy Cline’s three posthumous Top 10 country hits. The other two were “Sweet Dreams” (1963) and “Faded Love” (1963). The piece was first released by Canadian singer Joyce Smith in 1961. In 2014, Jamie O’Neal covered it for her album “Eternal.” She claimed : “You don’t hear a lot of songs like that these days, that are just […] raw emotion. It’s almost like desperation in a way. I feel like back then people used to sing and lay it all out on the table when they loved somebody.” 💙🎵💛 May you rest in peace, Virginia Patterson Hensley, a.k.a. Patsy Cline (1932 - 1963)… 🌹
