You can take a greater amount out using your credit card, most UK bank cards have a £250 daily limit. So it cuts down on trips to the atm. I always withdraw using my credit card then go straight on my banking app and transfer money and pay it off minutes later. You pay a small transaction fee of course, but I find it easy and straight forward.
