That is right, a foreigner is not allowed to have a land or house. Still there are very large percentages of foreigners purchasing land or houses in Thailand however this could be done only through a Thai company or leasehold. Thailand has become a very popular place where foreigners come to retire in their homes or families having a holiday house or for those who work and live here full time.
