Great fly! I will tie several of you samurais. They look fantastic. I was wondering if you would do a video on your experiences on hooking salmon. This season I had a lot of takes but they didn't hook on. It was very frustrating. I use a loop and I always release the loop when the fish takes. I am very calm and never stress when they tug the fly. I only had one very agressive take and even that fish didn't set the hook. Would love to hear about your experiences and opinions about loops, no loop and so on. Thank you for great videos!

What model Regent Vise are you using? Seems like you’d settle for nothing but the best, so simple. Possibly depending on hook-size range.

Regal also offers different types of jaws for their vises, from very small Midge jaws up to giant salt-water hooks.

Hello! So why you use ttcone on your sunray? To slow the fly down when used in fast streams?
@frodinflies2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Well sunrays is a bit different i think. On my Samuraies i want a quite narrow profile and pick cone to give me what i prefer. The Turbo will open up for the very soft hackles to swim in a nice way with out collapsing. 🙂

Ver nice fly !! However, I placed a pattern pack and the soft hackle is too small !! you should add the same size like showing in this videos , thanks !
