Pattern Stash

Hi Everyone!
First of all, thank you so much for all the love on my last vlog, I was honestly so flattered to have been missed by so many of you! And it feels really great to be back to the vlog.
Today I'm taking you on a little tour of my pattern stash!

Thanks Suzie for the peek into your pattern stash. It's always fun to see what other sewist have and hear a little bit about them. I love your PDF storage idea. I'm always trying to figure out a good way to store them and if I could find the right size clear envelopes here in the US, I think your method is one that would work for me.

Great stash, I put my PDFs in clear plastic holders as well. I will be buying a new bin for mine, I've since collected a nice mass of pdf patterns - LOL! I use a printing shop as well for super cheap as well and I get them in like 2 days. Now with a printer, I send mine over to the printer and I fold everything up in my plastic holders - LOL!.

Loved seeing all your patterns. 3 shillings for a pattern, that’s 15p! I wish we could get patterns for 15p now.

Lovely patterns.Check the sizing of the patterns.I made clothes from late 60's on and a size 12 then would be much larger now.

Some of your patterns I made when I was in my 20s... lol you are lucky that you can have your pdf patterns printed out cheap! In Canada it is as expensive as the patterns!

Oh wow really?! That's so cool. Yes, the copy shop printing in the UK has really only been available to us for the past year or so. Before that it was also far too expensive.

Hi Suzie, I've been wanting to buy the SOI Heather dress pattern - how did you find the sizing on the pattern you made up?. I've seen a few posts on Pinterest for the dress, I would want to make it knee length or just above, (im of a certain age where showing any part of my thigh would be a no no) but there do seem to be a lot of different lengths posted. Could be down to height I suppose. Be grateful if you had a few minutes to reply

I'm afraid I haven't made the SOI Heather dress. I'm trying to think which pattern I talked about making up in that video that you may be thinking of. The Molly Top maybe? It was a very good size for me and I don't think I did any alterations to it at all. It's by SOI as well, so I would guess the sizing would be consistent with their other patterns?

Ok. You have to share your secret for putting the paper patterns back into their envelope so neatly. Once I make a pattern it us a mess and won't fit back into it's package. Lol thanks

Ha ha ha, I have no secret...I am pretty useless at it too! I've been pretty tempted to just crumple the tissue up in a ball and throw it across the room at times! lol
