Neat! I had not heard of Louisa Pesel before. According to Wikipedia, she was an English embroiderer, educator and textile collector who passed away in 1947.

@@LynneFairchild Her book, English Samplers, was the first one that I found, long years before the internet got going..... There's a lot of pre-1600, but far more from the 17th century.
