I feel like screens should count as set up. It's a move that does no damage, but helps you to do better on the following turns. That's basically the definition of set up But obviously in this case it didn't make a difference

Yes and no for me it’s the opposite I say it in my head to stay focused. If someone is talking to me my brain will also say what the person is saying, whilst I’m typing. Then I’ll get confused and type what that person is saying instead of what I am thinking it gets tough because everything overlaps in my brain afterwards

just so we're clear, if Riolu clicked EQ there it wins, because it's +4 speed it outspeeds the Smoochum and EQ is 100 base power whereas Bullet Punch is 80 and Riolu is NOT a steel type so it doesn't have stab

THEN WE FIGHT IDEA: Choose your starter 10 times, at the end when you have your 10 starters you generate 3 random numbers 1 through 9 (no dupe numbers), and the generation number chosen is BANNED. And if you are unlucky enough to end up with less than 6 starters for a team, load up the next starters and the OPPONENT chooses for you.

Baby Pokémon are a specific type of Pokémon that cannot breed, and probably have other characteristics that I don't remember. They started in gen 2 as pre evolutions of Pokémon that were first stage in gen 1

Baby Pokémon cannot breed and iirc you need to give an item to the adult Pokémon for the egg to be the baby (for example if you breed mantine holding a wave incense, the egg will be mantyke, if you don't the egg will hatch a level 1 mantine). Although I don't think that was the case with Lucario and riolu.

@@darioschottlenderincense are only for Pokémon who got a baby form in a later gen. However, those items were removed in gen 9 and breeding always gives the baby Pokémon now.
