5:34 to be fair, when you ask for a nintendo game and the guy has games for 4 different nintendo consoles, it is a bit confusing.

It's crazy to think that grape N64 was only $85 w/games. Checking prices 7 years later and they comp out at like $300. Man, times have changed.

Pat: Just wanted to make a quick comment about your work. I found about you through your AVGN crossover (same as Nostalgia Critic) and after watching all of your videos, I quite enjoy them. Keep up the great work, and I really hope you don't retire the Pat the NES Punk character, as it is one of my favorite video series that I watch. Good luck.

Wow you should've taken that boombox at 2:00. Those vintage boomboxes fetch decent money on ebay. I bet you could've even got it for $5-10 if you tried. What a miss.

Locally, we have a "flea market" called Gibraltar trade centre (spot the Canadian). It's actually just a collection of vendors/dealers and resellers with games individually priced at the maximum they'll sell for on eBay. It's slightly depressing.

i saw locally at a retro game store an NES Action Set for 80$+ tax, but the styrofoam was a little chewed up in the corner and the system itself was about medium average yellowing, but the box looked like a 9/10. the same set at other stores locally is about double to triple the cost!
@xXKaptainMinecraftXx10 жыл бұрын
Thats nothing, where I live you can buy a yellow NES for 150 without tax, with one contoller that has bad bite marks across the front of it and it's the only controller in the store, and it comes with no games and maybe the power cord if you're lucky. And to top it off it has no box or Styrofoam or anything like that.
@Dragondude252510 жыл бұрын
TrueKM FTW yeah, that's why i said "the same set at other stores locally is about double to triple the cost!". It was shocking to see it for that low
@xXKaptainMinecraftXx10 жыл бұрын
Dragondude2525 Sorry thought you were talking about rip-offs
@Dragondude252510 жыл бұрын
TrueKM FTW i was using it as an example to show how ridiculous prices are here. like in the US 80$ would be overpriced, but here 80$ for that is a godsend! they usually sell 200$+ here in Toronto

Dude, scn released nes and snes games are definitely a bit more expensive than ntsc games but hell, an unboxed snes released by Bergsala sure costs no 200$. Unboxed would cost between 35 and 80$ online, boxed about 140$. Boxed games 40-80$ unless they are rare, and cartridge only 10-40$. And those are online prices, you can definitely find way better deals than that if you are patient enough.

He basically scans through all the items for sale and takes all the good stuff and leaves the scraps
@channelsurfing9 жыл бұрын
stupidTRISTEN He/She also scans the game on online retail sites like Amazon and eBay to get an "estimated" price on what the game would go for.

Some one who buys games/systems/cds/ what have you and then sells them, usually at a crazy profit margin. They do it for a living, so it's a business and not a hobby. (I do it occasionally with thrift store finds on ebay, but it's a way to make some extra spending money, not my main source of income)
