Yes Patti had success in the 70s but she struggled to get htis once going solo. She never sold the records Aretha or Diana sold or had the hits. However; things turned around in 1985 when her two song on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack were big hits. The hits started rolling in she was 44.
