Patti can bend a note and make and make it sing! Check out Sam Harris sing that same Patti LaBelle inspired version of Over The Rainbow on the 1980's American TV show Starserch where note for note sings it the same style as Patti! typing Same Harris Starserch is all you need on a you tube search. Patti still tours and at 79 she still owns every note she sings. If she is singing somewhere do not miss the chance to see her, you will never forget the night you did!

@@eatwithzayy Her voice was nasal in her younger years, then it became sharp, with average agility, and the tone was never pretty, her voice is not a beautiful voice. It is loud, her stretched belts are impressive, her head voice in her 40s and 50s was the best - her legendary electric operatic style 'whoops' - but generally the singing voice sound was average at best.
