Her greatest talent is she is a great role model of someone who can be strong, caring and talented. We need more like her, not just for woman but for everyone. I have nothing but admiration for her contribution to the human spirit.

Role models should have more tact and class and humility. All things this woman is severely lacking. We don’t need more mean-spirited narcissists in the world. We have enough of them including her.

One of the most amazing musical theatre performers that ever lived. She has been described as bitchy but you have to be strong to get ahead in this business. I HATE THE TERM BITCHY. Being a strong woman doesn't mean you are a bitch. It just means you are determined to succeed at any cost and if people got burned along the way then it just goes to show Patti's strength. It is a cut throat business and you have to have to have this incredible desire to make it.She did and WOW.

If it wasn't for Patti LuPone I wouldn't have spent hours upon hours of researching Evita Duarte' De Peron', her entire life, and her political career.....Don't get me wrong I'm not for a Dictatorship nor a Totalitarian Government but Sorry Evita was not a Bitch she was like any other Woman protecting and defending her man or husband....Some people still to this day say she hasn't done a thing for her Country and her people but that's not true, but then again I'm seeing the harshness and cruelty against a man in this country, saying he hasn't done anything for this country either.....

I don't understand why Patti says she was devastated by not playing "Sunset Boulevard" on Broadway? I mean, she got to play the part in London?! It's not like she never got a turn! I think she is being a bit dramatic saying she had to stop working for a year and see a psychiatrist?! Think of all the stuggling actors who never even get a walk-on cameo!
@downtown823 жыл бұрын
It’s nice to perform in London or Australia but it really matters if you are on Broadway or not. Patti had a contract for a run in London and on Broadway. She was working her ass off to prepare herself for Broadway and heard she was fired in a New York newspaper column. They never told her (and her castmates) they were fired. Also, she has been a working actor since she graduated so a working life is her normal. You can’t compare her with out of work actors.
@zebrastreet99932 жыл бұрын
The reviews of her and the west end production weren’t kind. She was fired and denied the move to Broadway. It was very public and embarrassing, and when the show was retooled a bit and Betty Buckley took over the lead, the reviews were very positive. Then came the casting of Glenn Close for the Broadway version. It was all very humiliating for her, and with an ego the size of hers it is no wonder she had psych problems as a result. Unfortunately it didn’t teach her much in the way of humility. She became even more bitter and mean.

Never could stand this lady if you can call her that. Her ego is far greater than any talent she ever had and when she said all that crap about Madonna it just made her look like a witch. Only a jealous person would come out and knock someone else's work. You don't have to be conceded and arrogant to be successful and obviously she does not get that.
@rititiize11 жыл бұрын
I don't know why she calls Juan Perón or Eva Perón fascists. They were not fascists. It shocks me how someone who did a play telling the story of Evita Perón says so calmly she was fascist. A little bit of history knowledge would make this interview more bearable to watch.
