Patti Page and Toni Tennille performed this duet of Patti's million-selling classic "Tennessee Waltz" on Toni's 1980 daytime TV show. Patti's original 1950 recording sold 10 million copies and was No. 1 in Billboard for 13 weeks. It is also one of Tennessee's official state songs.

I first heard the 'Tennessee Waltz' in Tokyo in 1952. It was one of my uncle's favorite song. It was very popular and no matter where we went we could hear it. It was right after the WW II and Tokyo was trying to recover from the damages from the war and this song became a great comfort to many Japanese people. This is Patti Page's song and no one could sing it like she did, soft, romantic, and gentle with her beautiful voice.
