Patti Smith. The woman fled from her Christian home to New York with ten dollars in her pocket. Rode the subway to keep warm and often slept in Washington Square. Got a job at a bookstore and moved into a hotel that let people exchange art for rent. Met Allen Ginsberg here and a whole other plethora of bad ass artists. Somehow eventually worked her way up to the top of the world. Her bravery to just be astonishes me everyday. Therefore, she’s soooorta my hero.

Toll das nach 33 Jahren wieder zu sehen. Ich war damals dabei, in Essen in der Grugahalle. Ich war 16! Was haben sich meine Eltern nur dabei gedacht :-) War mir damals nicht bewußt, ein kleines bisschen Rockgeschichte mit zu erleben. Danke für das und die anderen Videos vom Rockpalast.
