I like how the interviewer never interrupted her telling a long story and just letting her be. We need interviewers who listen.

Their relationship is so touching. I love "Just Kids". I read it at least once a year, every summer, it's so filled with authenticity, graciousness, the interaction between Patti and Robert is just so beautiful. It always fills my mind with positive energy, and the love/friendship, whatever you wanna call it, it's so heartwarming. Bless you, Patti. Such a beautiful soul.

There's truly something beautiful about Patti Smith. Her sincerity is integral in everything that she does. Her words, the way she carries herself, everything. There isn't a single thing about Patti that isn't beautiful and sincere. A real once in a generation kind of person.

Indeed .....although you can hear she's from the U.S. ,she hasn't got that usual American woman drawl ......her English sounds universal. Which came with age , around '76 she still had that New Yoik accent, which suited her also (then) ....but wisely got rid off ....

As I am part way through Robert Mapplethorpe's biography, so this is particularly poignant..Patti's way of expressiing herself in this honest and clear way is an inspiration to us all...to just say it like it IS, for goodness sake...and just know that we are all special, a miracle ans so any attempt at pretense can only dilute who we really are. Thank you Patti..xx Timbo

Thanks Patty Smith, and whoever sent this video. I didn't realize she had an autobiography. I do have her 1st three albums on CD. They are usually with me on long drives. I have only 1 of her best of 2 CD set. I wore out the other CD. I always have read her magazine article s when I find them. Her music is alot of fun. I just think she is great.
