I was there when Patti Smith read this at Ginsberg's memorlal at St John the Divine in NYC. The whole thing was amazing, but this was one of the highlights. Two beautiful originals, I think, Ginsberg and Smith, especially given all the went through -- or maybe because of it.

@ coyote: Neither one of them, Ginsberg and Smith, was a friend of the other. Ginsberg was a well-known misogynist, plain and simple, and Smith was not without her own resentments, to put it mildly.
