U welcom & ty: I could ask about cricket scoring. What is 1 run? Once across, I think, or is it there and back? Does the bowler bowl to the other batter then after a run? Does the bowler change the end where he bowls from? What do the results on the board mean? E.g. 120/3 - that /3 haven't figured out.

Meaning taking out the runner with a ball touch? Only if 2 are staying in one base. Rare, coz when you see someone approaching, you'd make a run to the next base. If there's not a tactical adv. in sacrificing the 1st runner for the 2nd.

Thank you! No catch out?

Yes, catch out is if the ball is caught before touching the ground.

Yes, got it, nice game. Please let me know if you ever don't understand either baseball, cricket, whatever. Thanks again.

Ohoy!? :) Wat's a catch out? Don't know the jargon of baseball. Is it ball caught straight from the fly, and the batter's out? Then: no catch out. But, the advancing players are 'wounded', they have to exit the field, if not played out. After fly catch, the outing team can try to get the runners out. Batter's not out, if he stays home, and it's not the 3rd strike. Likewise any runner staying at his base stays in the game. 'Bullet dodged' :) I think 3 wounded = 1 out, if I remember correctly.

Sorry timomastosalo, I was unable to answer because of the google plus thing: yes, 1 run is when each of the batters reach the other end, The bowler bowls 6 times from the same end and that is one "over", then he switch and begin a new over by bowling 6 times again from the other end, batters remain where they were. 120/3 means that the team has scored 120 runs but 3 batters are out so far.

So if the batters run just once, the bowler is now bowling to the other batter- That's the oddity in cricket for me. :) Both the American and the Finnish baseball have one batter only at the field at any time. Besides the runners in the outer bases. In these 2 baseballs you count how many strikes the BATTER has, in cricket it's the BOWLER has.

No no, the bowler remains in the same end no matter how many times the batters ran, 6 "throws" from each end then 6 from the other. In cricket there are no strikes for the batter, he can´t avoid batting unlimited times and long as he doesn't stop the ball from hitting the sticks with anything but the bat. Ball as in baseball is called: "wide" when a bowled ball goes wide from the crease (batting zone, or, home let's say). In cricket if the batter miss it doesn't matter, no fouls neither.

julicsa sabala I'm confused: you say no, then you write what I said, just in another words! As I see it :) I'm trying to get a confirmation or clarification for this: So the bowler bowls 6 times from 1 end, after that 6 from the opposite - this no matter which of the batters is facing him? Coz if the batter gets one or odd number of runs, he's now standing in the same end as the bowler and his batting pare is now facing the bowler. Or how it goes? I don't know the terms, just wondering the relationship of the batter with running. THIS is the oddity for me, it doesn't happen in pesäpallo or baseball. I've seen the long batting streaks in bids, usually 4, or 6 points, hitting low and the ball is caught, or a miss. Even the outs I've understood. The 1 pointers - when the batters actually run :) - are unsure for me. Or odd number of runs, rarely seen 3, 5 ... Hence the questions :)

Like you said it: 6 bowls from one end then 6 from the other, doesn't matter who the batter is or how many runs he scored. Casually, don't you own a tech company? Wanna go to Finland lol!, or suomi, learned a lot of finnish thanks to VPN: hakavuku is images, verkohaku is web. How you pronounce Pesapallo by the way? In Spanish palo means stick. and Pesa means to weight (verb).

Finnish baseball - found the rules? Well, pitching vertical, the pitcher is a bit like quarterback, the brains of the inning team - eyes over the whole field :) Runners are out if the ball is in the base before them, ball touch happens only if there are 2 plrs in a base & the 1st didn't leave. Points you get fr. running to the home base. For this top league there's some ad-rules. The colour fans are the inning team codes to the runners - like in Am. football the play codes
