Thank you so much for this video! It feels so much more real than the movie version. I felt like I was watching a documentary rather than a movie. It takes talented acting to pull that off. Well done!

Thank you for those kind words, Gabe! A friend pointed out recently that it would be against protocol to wear the hat indoors. Oh well, live and learn. I'll have to do it again someday and tweak it some. He really was representative of the kind of leader that was needed at the time. It was a different era and he should be recognized as a great leader in that historical context.

THANK YOU!!! This is as close one is going to get to get an idea what the Patton speech may have been like. The only version that is available is dictated by a computer. So again Thank you,

You're welcome! And thank you for commenting. I'm no George C. Scott, but I was happy to learn I bear a more passing resemblance, in both appearance and voice quality, to Patton himself.

@@actingbuff Without a doubt listening to Patton's speeches, (which seems few and far between on youtube or anywhere), the pitch and timbre of your voice matches a lot closer than George C. Scott. Please don't get me wrong, George C. Scott was brilliant actor and performer, and deserved an Oscar. "Patton" will always be on my list of favorite movies and all Americans should watch it. BUT, all Americans should watch this video and educate themselves of a very important part of American history.

It's missing that southern accent...
@actingbuff3 жыл бұрын
Although Patton's grandfather was from Virginia and died in the Civil War, Patton was from California, did not like his own high pitched voice, and did not have a southern accent.

what happened in Vietnam? Did Uncle Sam win that war also??
@darkjedi745 жыл бұрын
There’s always a weak link whenever anyone loses a war. In the case of Vietnam, it was the American political establishment and the media for crushing support for the war here at home. If our media had acted so treacherously in WWII, we’d have lost that too.

I’m sorry ma’am but I think the General was referring to declared wars.
@MrPhillipABurns4 жыл бұрын
@@casualobserver3145 besides, people should look at the number of casualties the US inflicted against the Vietcong.
