I lost my husband barely 6 months ago. This song reminds me of my Robin. Sometimes I smile, sometimes I cry. I will never find anyone like him again. He will always be my heart and soul. Thank You NCIS for introducing us to this song. We both would tear up hearing it, and now it comforts me. I love 💕 and miss you Robin. My heart and soul for life❤
@enidnielsen75977 ай бұрын
I am so terribly sorry for your loss. It sounds like you and Robin had a beautiful love story. I lost my husband Tim to leukemia not quite four months ago. I miss him so much. He was my world. I had never heard this song until today. I had just been talking to Tim in my head when this song came on. He loved Patty Griffin’s music. Now I can’t stop listening to this song, it says so much and I kind of feel like he’s talking to me. Wishing you peace.

She sees him laying in the bed alone tonight The only thing a touching him is a crack of light Pieces of her hair are wrapped around and 'round his fingers He reaches for her side for any sign of her that lingers And she says you are not alone Laying in the light Put out the fire in your head And lay with me tonight One of them bullets went straight for the jugular vein There were people running, A flash of light then everything changed Nothing really matters in the end you know all the worries sever Don't be afraid for me my friend One day we all fall down forever She says you are not alone Laying in the light Put out the fire in your head And lay with me tonight The wedding date was June just like any other bride She loved him like no one before and it was good to be alive Sometimes that can slip away as fast as any fingers through your hands So you let time forgive the past and go and make some other plans You are not alone Laying in the light Put out the fire in your head And lay with me tonight You are not alone Laying in the light Put out the fire in your head And lay with me tonight

The loss of your dog doesn't negate any of the time you had together, rather makes it more cherished. IMHO If you knew what I go through every single day to just function not including all the things I survived just to respond to you, well let me say that I know how difficult living can be. I got my puppy after my dog died in y arms

Sorry, he died in my arms unexpectedly but I did eventually rescue another dog. Try the video of Mary Chapin Carpenter called 'Soul Companion' with James Taylor. I play guitar for solace, and both of these women prop me up (as do many other singers) when needed. Only you can find your way, although there are many ways to get support. That's how I still make it when life ts difficult. I know you can find the goodness during the bad parts of life. But I'm just a realist.
