Applique Cut Files for Cricut, Scan n Cut, or Silhouette with Embrilliance

It’s nice that you showed everything step-by-step. It does suck that you lost the video portion of cutting the actual material. In the future if you do more videos, don’t worry about it being too long. Just cut it into two parts because it helps seeing every detail. Especially when someone’s a beginner. 😉

I knew there had to be a way to do this instead of cutting around the stitches, which looks so incredibly hard to do! Thank you so so much for your video. Hi Patty Anne, Thank you for this video, but I am having an issue. When I click on the tackdown stitch & then click on thread color, I do not get the applique button? Is there something I need to turn on in embrilliance? Nevermind, I was clicking on the color button, not the color itself. Thank you this is an incredible video, as I need to create a cut file 😁

Question...When I upload the SVGs to Cricut, the letters have cutout areas in them do not show up on the end cut map. What am I doing wrong?

One of the best Applique videos I viewed so far👍❤! I have not seen an appliqué video showing how to use the embroidery software, cutting machine, and taking right to the embroidery sewing machine all together step-by-step-LOVE IT!!! Can you please share which Embrilliance software you’re are using? Embrilliance has too many selections for various pricing. Also, is there a way to design our own appliqué art work or patterns vs buying them or downloading them for free? As an artist I prefer to use my own designs. If so, which type of embroidery software? Thank you.😎

Great question, Lou! The software I’m using is Essentials although I have bought all of the Embrilliance versions over the years. ABSOLUTELY you can design your own appliqués and files. I’ll work on a video showing that!

Just discovered your videos and very happy that I did. You are an excellent teacher, I am very new to Embrilliance Essentials and my Brother embroidery machine . Very happy with both and learning slowly but surely, however I would love to try applique and now thanks to you, I am not afraid to try. However, I am sure there are many of us who do not have cutting machines of any kind and wondered if it would be possible for you to do a video on how to cut with scissors. I am really very dubious to try in case I wreck my completed design. Is there a certain way to cut for example ? Anyway, thank again for all the effort and advice you put into your videos. Very much appreciated.

Hi, great video. Few questions, I just ordered stitch artist 1, it appears your screen is different… which embrilliance program are you using? Also, once you save the file after you “inflate” the size, do that alter the original file size in embrilliance or just for the file you save it to? Thank you for sharing this information. Also once you inflate the design, did you do that for all the elements, if so do they overlap afterwards or is the measurement so minimal it doesn’t affect overall design?

It would not save it to the original... to be really safe, save it with a different name! I believe I did it for all of the applique elements.
