One thing I really liked about this movie is how Clive and Graeme are grown ups rather than kids. Because with E.T. and other movies where someone discovers an other worldly being, they usually bank on "well children are pure of heart, and adults would just go to the government!" But here these two are just genuinely good people. They bond with Paul because they're all down to earth in terms of character. (SPOILER: Was cool that the secret agent turned out to be an ally too, for no other reason than Paul was a good friend to him). The movie has a lot of lowbrow humor but it's got this heart that I really just enjoy :)
