@frankb5728
@frankb5728 5 жыл бұрын
@@bdegrds Abuse is the key word here. I really doubt any of these guys abuse steroids, there's plenty of example of people who abuse them. I still laugh at a moment in a rich piana video where he was answering emails from lifters who were using gear and the person writing the email was using more than rich himself. The fact that they are illegal outside of their prescribed usage doesn't help with the lack of information... not that in this day and age the information isn't readily available but people always think that more is more.

Brian Shaw's like a mutant though. Like, he probably has both the Hercules gene AND proportional gigantism which each are super rare. Combine that with his crazy willpower and you have the strongest man on earth. I just really hope and pray his heart never gives out on him because heart attacks are common for bigger guys like that. Even more so for athletes like strongmen.

The second lift by nick looked so easy coming up, makes you realize this lift wasn’t hard because of the weight exactly, but because it’s so unbalanced

True. As you get older balance is usually going out the door. He has PLENTY if strength. That's why at 50 when you are in the roof of a house you ask yourself "What am I doing up here". Not that you can't be just shouldn't be. My grandfather fell off a roof broke his back because of balance. Some things are a young man's area.

The biggest difference was that he didn’t walk back on the second lift. They made him stay in place and get a good foot position. So yes, it was about balancing for sure.
