Legends say Paul still wants to become “Transport Supremo”. RIP sir. Indeed, a life well lived.🙏

He is wonderful and now reaches many younger generations. I was not old enough to watch his performances when they were on tv. He is somehow an actor that managed to convey a human frailty and modesty that is touching and hilarious. I hope that if his family ever read these comments they see how much his life impacted others.

Yes, yes, and yes. He's just a superb example to all of us of everything that's good about people, and, thanks to his wonderful talent and work, he always will be.

I replied to a comment in which the claim was made that Paul was an "innocent comedian" at the beginning of a "corrupt media". I'm not sure I've come across quite so many falsehoods in one short sentence. It's not unfair to call Paul Eddington a comedian, although it's largely incorrect and sells him rather short. He was an actor who was equally at home in comedy or drama. What an audience considers as breadth, an actor considers as depth. But it's the notion of the media as newly corrupt that is ripe for scorn. The media have been as they are for as long as the business has been a profit making exercise.
