Since the very first time I saw the series "Lie to Me", I realize that I just found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life: Micro expressions expert. The idea was not to use this expertise for selfish gain but to explain to my clients the importance of self-analysis of their emotions through body language while they are in the process of substance abuse recovery. I am not an expert yet and I still miss too much information to be call an expert but, I had recognize that the state of mind that we all call a feeling, "boredom", creates in them a craving for the substance of preference. Boredom is one of the main problems in which artists, students, young people to lonely adults, seem challenge to dominate and cope in a healthy way. I would like to know from Paul Ekman, what does he think about Boredom, how to read it with our body language and what are the emotional roots of boredom. Thank you.

Dr. Ekman what do you see in Vincent Brothers' face? There is plenty of good footage to see him even when he received his sentence (I watch it and I read a news article about it and they are absolutely contradictory. This is not a rhetorical question. I just think that your expertise here is paramount. Thank you.

Paul, have you reconsidered any of these ideas in light of Paul Bloom's recent work "Against Empathy"?

What do you mean? P. Bloom express the same view, that there are like 2 types of empathy and that the commonny-approved one is of not much use, while the other one, similar to EI is what we should aim for
