But the answer to your question: is complicated, but it works out to - supporting our users, up until recently, meant we couldn't give out HD footage, but even if we could, there weren't reliable, affordable ways to distribute and store HD in our budget, and users weren't willing to pay what it cost. Plus, the majority of our users didn't want HD files, which would be 4GB or more. Remember, we're basically doing a feature film's worth of content twice a week. That's a LOT of storage. That said, new things are on the horizon. We're always evaluating what we can do, what users want, and what we can afford. Devices that users use have shifted, storage costs have gone down, and most importantly, now that we don't have to support decades-old devices, better compression is available! No promises, but keep your eyes peeled! Also? That was kind of the joke (at least for NNF, for other clients, INDHD did provide HD production).
