Toledo has a 24 point win, USC is horrible but beat LSU on the road at night in Baton Rouge, Notre Dame beat A&M by 10 at home, then Lost to NIU the very very next week. Miami embarrassed Florida. BYU does have a natty and have proven they can play at a high level but they are just in year 2 of competing in a P4. What has Indiana done? WON ALL OF THEIR GAMES! At this point, they belong. They play Michigan and Ohio State, so we will know more after that. These "analysts" put a preference of what conference you are in over winning on the field. Miami went into Gainesville and dominated week 1. The same UF team that had a lead against UGA last week. The Cal game was a great win, being down 18 late in the game and coming back to win it is the reason they are a good team. Mad dog bashes the ACC, then proceeds to say that BYU's win against SMU (from the ACC!) was a good win. The SEC bias is ridiculous. No one talks about USC and Notre Dame's wins over LSU and Texas A and M. If 2/3 of the teams in the playoffs are from the SEC and Big 10, then of course there is a bigger chance that one of those conferences goes home with the championship. If you stack the top 25 with lots of teams from your conference, then your losses don't look as bad and your wins look better. Started years ago when the former SEC chairman became the BCS commissioner.

Vandy needed OT to beat Virginia Tech Finebaum. So either the ACC is better than you give them credit for, or Vandy isn't as good as you think, or both. Auburn lost at home to Cal, an ACC team.

Why does Paul Finebaum hate Alabama so much? What axe does he have to grind eternally with the Alabama football program? I mean, this dude hated Nick Saban and he already hates Kalen Deboer for losing 1/3 as many games as Nick Saban in his first season is Alabama head coach. I don’t want to hear this argument that The cupboard was empty when Nick Saban took over; all you gotta do is go back and look at the names on that 2007 Alabama roster. Is it just because Feinbaum is a Tennessee alum? Imagine being able to make a living by negatively critiquing everything within a particular field; negatively critiquing every type of mascara, and particularly having an axe to grind with x company simply because they have been the standard for years. I also don’t know where this narrative comes from that if you have three losses, you can’t make the college football playoff because I haven’t heard anything other than ESPN pundits saying this. To my knowledge, none of them are actually on the committee. Are they getting fed information by the committee that only they are privy to which, if true, undermines the entire idea of the committee because they could just put all the rules out in the open. People put far too much stock in what these college football analysts think or believe. Imagine having a job where you can critique team because they don’t have 100 yards rushing, but you’re not able to tell the difference between nickel and dime defense or a 3-4 versus a 4-3. I have gotten to the point where the ESPN commentary on college football is nothing more than a WWE angle that is pre-written before anything even happens and then after everything plays out is corrected to maintain some type continued viewership. Who pays attention to ESPN? The greatest football podcasts, and the most up-to-date programmatic information now comes from the average Podcaster like uncle Lou.

Colorado is benefiting from a step down in competition. They got blown out by Nebraska. If they played Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, even Boise State....I'm not sure it's remotely close. They would lose to Washington State.

Georgia almost lost to a Florida Gator team with their 3rd string QB & RB playing. 2 CBs and their SS were also injured. Assuming DJ Lagway didn't get injured in the game, Florida likely upsets Georgia.

@@trehaslem2982 he didn't need to. He maintained a lead and played complementary football. He moved the chains and kept Georgia's offense on the sideline. He also is a mobile threat, forcing Georgia to respect the outside run. Hence why when DJ went down, Georgia's defensive scheme had an overhaul and Florida was no longer moving the ball. Easy assessment to make UF wins that game with Lagway.
