This reminds me of a little Kleenex box theatre I made when I was 8 yrs old! I used string to move my paper cowboy back and forth across a desert scene. Of course I don't have it any more, as that was so long ago (1967). I really like your more sophisticated matchbox theatres! Thanks for showing how they are made! I'm a new fan! ~Janet in Canada

Mr. Fleischman, I am late to the theater....but I have to tell you how much I loved your book! Several parts of it made me want to cry. The story was so beautifully written as well as illustrated. how do you attach the paper to the match stick? I tried tape and it comes off. thanks! love your work

I used Scotch tape. If yours isn't holding, I'd try duct tape. * * * I wish I'd included in the video that the central unmoving image is xeroxed onto a plastic transparency--available at stationery stores.
