Get Derrick Rose on the pod. Two humble stars and it would be interesting to talk about what could have been. It’s wild to think the level rose was on against pg back then and see how pg became who he was. No idea what rose would have added to his game. Hell we could have seen a LeBron d rose in Chicago after Miami vs kd and Westbrook in the finals had he not been injured.

Been a Clippers fan for about 20 years and by far this is the best team we have had. 2020 I thought we had a chance before the bubble hit, 2015 I thought we had a chance also but this year is special. Love seeing the chemistry grow between the team, I remember going to a Clippers game before Blake got traded and we beat a solid Toronto team but our team was arguing the whole time just straight going at it, at that point I realized it takes a lot more than just winning games to win a championship. It takes everybody being on the same page and putting egos aside, previous Clipper teams couldn't figure that out but when the current Clippers are on the floor you can see they really want it and are willing to sacrifice to get there.

Honestly as a wolves fan- if it comes down to it and, we play each other… I’m not gonna complain. I love grimey azz 90’s ball. Mad nostalgic rn. Was a gg. We both played nowhere near our potential but, that’s why it intrigues me. ✌️

@discowolf25 Yea that would be sick, In the West TWolves OKC and Clippers are competing hard on both sides of the floor every night it is cool to see. For a while it felt like the league was moving so fast towards just focusing on offense but this year it seems to be a little more balanced.

We are a super small 1A school in Missouri, but got the chance to do play like the pros in Memphis at the FedEx Forum on January 12th the night that y’all play the Grizzlies. Really looking forward to experience but I didn’t think it would hurt to ask if you could come watch a couple minutes of our game that starts at 1pm and we have the floor until 2:30pm. Regardless, we are really looking forward to seeing you guys play later that evening!!

The part of Paul talking about how guards are getting bigger. I imagine that lots of 6'2 guards with NBA ability will probably be overlooked in the future. Sort of how big men with NBA ability who can't shoot are probably not in the NBA. In the 1980s and early 1990s, guards started getting bigger because of the influence of Magic Johnson.

PAUL GEORGE: build chemistry with ZUBAC, especially the pick and roll. Sometimes I’ll see him give you a pick and he does a really good job at screening that he gives you so much space so that when he rolls; he basically has an open lane, a wide open shot or perimeter pass to Mann, etc… Return back when ya’ll when the championship this year! 🙏🙌

As a diehard raptors fan, that 2018-2019 season felt different having Kawhi. How many times did the raptors get shit on by Lebron in the playoffs? Was Lowry and derozan gonna perform? We were so insecure. When we had Kawhi? I was rock solid confident. Even if we weren’t playing well, even when he wasn’t playing, my mind was like “Doesn’t matter, we got Kawhi”. I get it. If it weren’t for injuries, he’d be right there as one of the greatest ever.

Some fun Joel Embiid playoff facts: The best team he's beaten in the playoffs is the 2022 5th seed Raptors led by Siakam and FVV He averages 22 PPG on 49.2% TS in elimination games(a 9 game sample size) In NO playoff run has he ever averaged more assists than turnovers He is the ONLY MVP in league history to never make the conference finals This year, he had the biggest PPG drop from the RS to the playoffs of any MVP winning season He turned the ball over 8 times in back to back elimination games against the Hawks in 2021 He's shot under 20% from three over his last two playoff runs He had a worse eFG% than Russell Westbrook during the 2023 playoffs With a chance to go up 3-1, Joel Embiid went 0-12 in the second half against the 5 seeded Hawks in game 4, including missing a wide open layup to take the lead He got stripped by Danilo Gallnari to seal the loss in game 7 Down 3 in game 5 of the same series with 15 seconds left, he missed BOTH free throws to seal the game All of his offensive numbers(PPG, RPG, APG, TOs, FG%, 3P%, FT%) are worse in the playoffs than in the regular season aside from FT% He has only won ONE playoff series in his career where he played in all four wins(2022 vs. Toronto) He is 0-3 in game 7s and has posted a 49% TS and 5.3 TOs a game in those 3 games He once got swept in a series despite averaging FIFTEEN free throws per game(2020 vs. Boston) Over the last two seasons, he has a 9.2 BPM in the regular season(box plus minus) and a 1.0 BPM in the playoffs WORST OF ALL: HE IS 9/38 IN CLUTCH(within 5 points, last 5 minutes by NBA definition) SITUATIONS DURING HIS PLAYOFF CAREER, WITH AN UNFATHOMABLE TS% of 35.7%
