Hell yea this is what the thunder should be doing to teams on a nightly basis. I think Carmelo has to take a step back for this to work and have PG be what KD was before for OKC. KD, Russ and a bunch of role players were getting OKC 50-55 wins every year. This team should be at that level too once they get accustomed to playing with each other. Russ has to get his free throw % back up into the 80's and Melo has to be more selective with his shots. Defense is solid but it could be better. They have been coasting a lot for a team that hasn't done anything substantial in recent years and Russ is the one who has to set a precedent for this team to succeed long term

I say conserve Russ high octane energy for the playoff and let him get into a facilitating mode so he can develop those skills. Russ has to be 2nd scoring option.
