Let's be honest, he's a beast. Not many people can do Jeff Beck (RIP) justice!

God I worshipped this at the age of 18, now Im 39, guess what.. It still kicks ass..

This was the best track on that disc. Sounds like he’s playing full volume into a small room.
@heehaw33992 жыл бұрын
He's using a groove tube emulator for the bass and guitar; As well as, Alesis HR16 drum machine. No microphone.

Amazing cover! And I'm also both a PG and JB fan. This album is great! I still have the GFTPM vol 1, 2, and 3 on CD!

My favorite songs are always Beck covers of have some connection. Look up Eric Glass's Scatterbrain cover..my favorite tune that he has done and he is a great guitarist.

I take back what I said about Sheehan, but it sounds like his tone a lot!

I agree its Pauls ADA and a Duncan wired in parallel (neck), I play the exact same setup (ADA mp 1 into a Combo, epiphone Wilshire for 250 bucks and two Dimarzio Super Dist. wired parallel) and have the same sound... :-)

Actually my favorite PG's tone of all time, razor sharp and perfect for his shredding. No slop allowed though, can't hide and only for true men, lol.

Paul played all instruments on this track recorded directly in believe it or not; guitar and bass into an 8 track...probably a Tascam. He's using a Drum machine...an Alesis model

Two things: Firstly, sounds like Sheehan playing bass, which is cool. Secondly, MercutioUK, judging by the year/tone, Paul was probably playing his pink 'Telesavalas' Ibanez RG, which had a Seymour Duncan Distortion (B) and Minibucker (N) in. That's just my opinion though, no facts whatsoever!

He is a good guitar player, but this is a commercial way of the original song, he added nothing except his techninc abilities...

I mean, isn’t that the point of a cover? To publish your own take/interpretation of a composition?

He started out really good, for about ten seconds, then proceeded to screw the song up! 😡😡😡

His guitar playing is technically sound, but is soulless! Jeff's playing is far from soulless!
